Because we’ve been getting a bit of sunshine recently, I wanted to do a quick blog post about Jason Kid’s Sunscreen, which I use for the kids. It’s suitable for vegans, as well as being cruelty-free.
All the Jason products are not tested on animals and have the Leaping Bunny symbol, and most of them are suitable for vegans. They are mostly organic and natural and can be found in most health shops as well as bought online. I love their products because they’re natural and vegan of course.
I’m not an expert about sunscreen but it seems pretty good to me. It’s SPF 45 and broad spectrum, and is water resistant as well as hypoallergenic. I’ve been using it on my kids all summer and it’s working great for them. They don’t burn easily but it has been really sunny some days and they haven’t gotten at all sunburnt. It also smells nice and is easy to apply.
The only negative thing is that it’s a bit pricy, though that is common for natural and cruelty free products, so if you get through a lot of sunscreen then it might not be the best choice for you. Though I try my best to buy cruelty-free products, so am ok with having to pay a little extra sometimes.
Anyway I’m very happy with this product, so if you’re looking for a cruelty-free sunscreen, I really recommend it.
